Florence Griffith-Joyner, known as Flo Jo, is my favorite female sprinter of all time. She still holds the world records in both the women’s 100m and 200m races.

The Legendary Jesse Owens – 1936 Olympics 100m final

Jesse Owens is a famous and legendary track and field sprinter who won four gold medals in the 1936 Olympics. Jesse Owens won gold medals in the 100 meters, the 200 meters, the long jump, and as part of the 4×100 meter relay team. During a period of extreme racism, Jesse Owens not achieved victory but was the most successful athlete at the 1936 Olympic Games.
